Small charities working to tackle unemployment in London have until 30 May to apply for a slice of £2.5 million made available by the European Social Fund.
Projects that help people move nearer to the labour market, particularly the long-term unemployed, are most likely to be viewed favourably.
Organisations with no more than two full-time staff and annual income no greater than £60,000 are eligible to apply for grants of up to £10,000.
Priority will be given to projects which assist some of the most disadvantaged unemployed people move towards employment, through advice, training and confidence building.
The money is being made available through Fast Forward Grants, the London ESF global grants programme.
Greater London Enterprise is the intermediary body that manages the project. For more details visit www.gle.co.uk or email email@example.com.
