Jobseekers are most active in January, says Third Sector Jobs

Third Sector Promotion Third Sector Jobs

Jobseekers in the third sector apply for more jobs in January than any other month of the year, according to data from Third Sector's specialist job board, Third Sector Jobs.

In fact, 37% more people applied for a job on Third Sector Jobs in January 2018 than the average over 12 months.*

Furthermore, the number of people viewing jobs on the Third Sector Jobs site saw a 40% hike in January 2018, and the number of people visiting the site overall was 41% higher than the 12-month average.**

Supporting these trends, a YouGov poll in December 2017 revealed that the seventh most popular new year’s resolution is to ‘get a new job’.*** So if you’re looking to attract top charity talent, January is clearly a peak time to join the ‘resolution revolution’.

Get more from your investment

"Our Third Sector Jobs data interestingly indicates that recruiters looking to advertise their jobs should consider January as a key time to invest as it’s when you’re most likely to get the biggest bang for your buck", enthuses Vicky Quinn, head of recruitment sales at Third Sector Jobs.

Help your charity get ahead in 2019

"If you’re looking to attract the best talent in 2019, you’d be prudent to consider your options beyond a standard job listing", adds Gabriella Lee, recruitment sales director, Third Sector Jobs. "We welcome enquiries from charities looking to make the most of the new year job hunting season, especially if you’re keen to revolutionise your recruitment strategy."
