Jumping for joy

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust leaped into the record books by breaking the UK milestone for the most tandem parachute jumps in a 24-hour period.

A total of 180 people took part in the 10,000ft jump held at Hinton Skydiving Centre, near Oxford, raising £80,000 for the charity. The day was organised by Leonard Ansell (centre left) whose nephews Ross and Thomas both suffer from Cystic Fibrosis. Among the celebrities to take part were former Big Brother winner Craig Phillips (centre), GMTV presenter Andrea McLean, and Kate Silverton, who fronts the BBC's DIY show House Call.
