Kylie joins NSPCC in ambassador remit

Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue has been appointed as the NSPCC's first ever ambassador for young people.

Minogue already supports child protection charity Kids Help Line in her native Australia, but the NSPCC role will be her first official affiliation to a UK charity.

As ambassador, Minogue will lend her support to NSPCC campaigns and act as an advocate for young people. She will also champion the work of the charity's child protection helpline and support the charity is other ways, such as donating auction items.
