The new Labour Party shadow ministers for the Cabinet Office and the Office for Civil Society are expected to be announced in the next few days.

It is thought that the new shadow Cabinet Office minister will be named this afternoon or on Monday. Tessa Jowell currently shadows Francis Maude. She has been covering the post since former third sector minister Angela Smith lost her seat at this year's general election.

The new shadow ministers will be responsible for setting the Labour Party's policy on the voluntary sector.
