Laurie Lee appointed chief executive of Care International UK

Lee has been appointed chief executive of the aid and development charity Care International UK. He is currently director at the Gates Foundation.

Vickie Hawkins has been promoted to UK executive director at the humanitarian organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres. Hawkins has worked for the charity since 1998, most recently as head of mission in Myanmar.

Giles Tomsett has been appointed as chief executive of St Catherine's Hospice. He will join in September from the healthcare recruitment company Medacs Healthcare.

Westminster Drug Project has welcomed Sue Clements as its new chief executive. She was previously director of service development in offender health at Care UK.

Asthma UK has appointed Lindsay Gormley as director of marketing and Caroline Hellicar as director of fundraising.

The Haven, the breast cancer support charity, has appointed Hannah Daws to the newly created position of fundraising and marketing director. She was the charity's director of marketing and communications.
