Leonard Cheshire to launch disability information web portal

Leonard Cheshire Disability is setting up a website to act as a gateway for advice and information on disability.

The charity hopes that people's comments on its disability information portal will spark debate on disability issues and shape policy and opinion.

"We want the portal to be the leading online resource for anyone who would like to learn more about disability," said Stephen Elsden, project manager at Leonard Cheshire Disability. "We want people to sign up, log on and explore to find out more."

The full site will launch next year, but the pilot version is available at www.dip-online.org.
