Lesley-Anne Alexander, chief executive of the RNIB, is set to be appointed chair of the chief executives body Acevo for a further two years.

Alexander was re-elected to the Acevo board at the Acevo annual general meeting in London yesterday and is expected to be confirmed as chair at the board's next meeting in February. The additional two years will take her up to the maximum six-year term.

Joe Irvin, chief executive of the local infrastructure body Navca, was also appointed to the Acevo board for the next three years. He replaces Cath Lee, who left the Small Charities Coalition this month to become chief executive of Leeds Mencap.

Srabani Sen, chief executive of Contact a Family, which supports the families of disabled children, was re-elected to the Acevo board for a further three-year term.
