Lottery Fund announces Scottish grants

Second-tier organisations in Scotland have been awarded £6.4m by the Big Lottery Fund.

The 15 grants include £981,000 to the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, £777,000 to the Poverty Alliance and £588,000 to the Council of Ethnic Minority Voluntary Sector Organisations Scotland.

The 15 infrastructure organisations received the awards from the BLF's Dynamic, Inclusive Communities fund, which last year gave £8.4m to the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.

Alison Magee, chair of BLF Scotland, said the grants would "have a large impact on the strength and quality of the third sector in Scotland".

Devolved decisions on Scottish lottery funding were introduced last year.
