Lottery Fund consults

The Big Lottery Fund is to consult charities over the priorities for its £155m Basis programme amid fears that too many organisations wasted their time on futile applications. The first round had 1,400 bids; the BLF predicted 800. The response led to a five-month delay in charities being told whether they had got to stage two.
