Lottery fund policy to be discussed on television debates

The future of National Lottery funding is to be the subject of two Question Time-style debates on the Community Channel, being shown from this week.

The half-hour programmes will feature a panel including Stephen Dunmore, chief executive of the Big Lottery Fund, James Georgalakis, media relations manager at the NCVO, Stephen Bubb, chief executive of Acevo and Jane Taylor, former editor of Lottery Monitor.

The panel will face questions from a studio audience including those who have benefited from Lottery funding and those whose applications have been turned down in the past.

The first programme looks at the history of the Lottery over the past 10 years, while the second will explore how funding will be distributed to good causes in the future under the new Big Lottery Fund regime.

The programmes will be broadcast four times a day from 16 to 29 August, at 8.30am, 1pm, 5pm and 7.30 pm.
