Mark Astarita, chair of the Institute of Fundraising for the past two years, has been reappointed for another year.
Astarita, director of fundraising at the British Red Cross, was reappointed at the institute's annual general meeting at the convention yesterday.
Adrian Sargeant, professor of marketing and fundraising at the University of Plymouth Business School, Karen McKenzie, director of income generation at Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Mags Tierney, joint secretary of the Link Centre in Belfast, were elected trustees by IoF members for three-year terms.
Di Flatt, director of fundraising at Epilepsy Action and the chair of IoF Yorkshire, was appointed honorary secretary.
In a statement, Astarita said: "As the economic climate hands out challenge after challenge to our fundraising teams, I am honoured to lead the institute in its work to give fundraisers an influential voice to government, and to continue to grow our membership and professional development programmes."
