Media contacts outfit launches PR guide

A guide has been launched to help charities develop a better relationship with the media.

Clever Communications was produced by AskCharity, the media contacts website set up by the Voluntary Action Media Unit to help third sector organisations attract more publicity.

The guide contains articles by journalists and PR professionals and advice on how to stage media campaigns, send out press releases and get information into the papers and onto the airwaves.

It also contains a guide to newspapers, magazines and radio and TV programmes that provide ways for charities to convey a message.
