Minister for the third sector pledges funds

Ed Milliband, minister for the third sector, has pledged £1.1m to spread best practice in recruiting and retaining volunteers from hard-to-reach groups. The funding will be delivered through the Office of the Third Sector's £5m GoldStar programme, set up in November 2005 to promote volunteering for socially excluded people.
