Money Matters: CFDG on sustainability, ICAEW annual conference and advice on social return on investment

The Charity Finance Directors' Group has published guidance on how charities can become more sustainable. Keith Hickey, chief executive of the CFDG, said charity finance professionals had a crucial role in bringing sustainability into their organisations. The report, Sustainability in Practice: Monitoring and Reporting, is available to buy from the CFDG's website'.

The SROI Network has published three supplements on social return on investment. The guides offer an overview of social investment, as well as information for commissioners and others involved with social investment.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales will hold its annual conference for voluntary sector professionals in both London and Manchester. The event will be held in London on 17 November and repeated in Manchester on 24 November. Martin Brookes, chief executive of New Philanthropy Capital, will give the keynote address at each conference.
