David Ainsworth's round-up of what's happening in the finance world

A conference on the future of social enterprise and public service delivery is being held on 19 November by Social Investment Business, which manages the £215m Futurebuilders fund. Speakers at the event, at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, will include Vince Cable, the Liberal Democrats' shadow chancellor, Claire Dove, chair of the Social Enterprise Coalition and chief executive of social enterprise Blackburne House, and Jonathan Lewis, chief executive of Social Investment Business.

Scottish social entrepreneurs network Senscot is conducting a survey of the interaction between social enterprises and housing associations.

Social lender Charity Bank has issued a new ethical savings product to raise funds to lend to Welsh charities and social enterprises. The Welsh Community Bond was launched by Andrew Davies, minister for finance and public service in the Welsh Assembly. He said the bond would ensure that money invested by Welsh people would be used for social good in Wales.
