A report from the House of Commons has called on the Scottish Government to provide credit unions in Scotland with more ring-fenced funding.

The report also said credit unions and the Post Office should work together to provide bank account facilities for financially excluded people. The Credit Unions in Scotland report is available at http://tinyurl.com/qneot4.

HM Revenue & Customs has produced an updated Gift Aid toolkit on CD-Rom, it has announced. The toolkit is intended to help charities understand the Gift Aid scheme, keep the correct records and make Gift Aid repayment claims. To order a copy, call 0845 302 0203 and select option six.

The first regional trade fair for social enterprises is being held next month. In Business for Good takes place on 16 June at Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool. It is being organised by Social Enterprise North West and will feature keynote speeches from third sector minister Kevin Brennan and Steven Broomhead, chief executive of the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
