Two new training seminars to help charities apply for public sector contracts are being held by the NCVO. The training sessions will address funding agreements and tendering agreements. A working group has been formed to assess how cooperatives will apply for the Social Enterprise Mark, the quality assurance mark for the sector. Rise, the social enterprise body for south-west England, will work with Cooperatives-SW and Co-operatives UK to assess a set of indicators to measure the social impact of cooperative applicants. Some cooperatives have said they fear they will find it difficult to qualify for the mark.
