Movers: Debbie Curtis, head of communications, the Blue Cross

Debbie Curtis has been made head of communications at the Blue Cross.

Curtis will lead the animal welfare charity's 14-strong communications team, overseeing all PR, online, publishing and advertising activities.

She joins after 10 years at animal conservation charity the Zoological Society of London. As the society's communications manager, Curtis led the press team and managed its website and membership magazine.

She said: "Building on the communications team's excellent work, we will continue to raise the profile of the Blue Cross brand and reach out to new audiences and potential supporters."
