She joins the Christian international development charity, from YMCA, where she was appointed the charity's first director of communications and PR last year. Before that, she worked for the International Save the Children Alliance, a Swedish international development agency.
"The great thing about working for a relatively small charity is that it enables you to be very hands-on and remain in touch with project partners from across the world," said Carlsson. "It also means that we can see at first hand the difference our support can make to the lives of individuals."
