Movers: Sport England appoints Tim Hollingsworth as chief executive

Tim Hollingsworth has been appointed chief executive of the lottery distributor Sport England. He will join in November from the same role at the British Paralympic Association, a position he has held since 2011.

Campaign for Better Transport has appointed Darren Shirley as its new chief executive. He was campaign manager at the consumer rights charity Which?

Jabeer Butt has been promoted from deputy chief executive to chief executive at the Race Equality Foundation.

St Christopher’s Fellowship, which provides support for children in care, has appointed Jonathan Whalley as chief executive. Whalley, regional director of children’s services at Barnardo's, will in October succeed Ron Giddens, who is retiring after 20 years with St Christopher’s.

Aidan Jones has been appointed chief executive of the relationship support charity Relate. He was executive director of WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.

Angela Beerman, director of people at Hanover Housing Association, has been appointed as the director of human resources and organisational development at Jewish Care. Beerman will join the social care charity on 5 November.

The work-life balance charity Working Families has appointed Jane van Zyl as chief executive. Van Zyl, operations director at Breast Cancer Haven, takes up her new role today.

Social Care in Action, a not-for-profit group of social enterprises focused on health and wellbeing, has appointed Dan Freshwater as chief executive. He joins from the same role at the Wheatsheaf Trust, which helps disadvantaged people into employment.
