Byte Night, when hundreds of senior IT executives slept rough for charity in London's Finsbury Square last year, took the best event award at NCH's annual Challenge to Care awards last week.
The charity's annual answer to the Baftas rewards the fundraising efforts of corporate partners, individual supporters and charitable trusts. Other categories include best marketing initiative and individual supporter of the year.
Byte Night beat several other nominations, including the Italian Job, where supporters were sponsored to recreate scenes from the classic film.
Corporate donors were also nominated including S Three for its Christmas ball, Orange for its coast-to-coast cycle challenge and the video industry's It's a Knock Out event.
"The awards evening really motivates our supporters by putting their fundraising into context," said NCH spokeswoman Karen Gray.
