NCVO has produced its first guide to effective campaigning for eight years to encourage charities to share their experiences.
A recent ICM poll by NCVO found that more than 25 per cent of 24-35 year-olds believe campaigning and raising awareness is the single most important activity undertaken by charities.
The Good Campaigns Guide: Campaigning for Impact was written by Tess Kingham, former Labour MP for Gloucester, and Jim Coe. Both have had extensive careers in the sector and now work as consultants. It is a new guide, rather than an update of NCVO's 1997 publication.
"The need for effective campaigning has never been greater," said Coe.
