NEWS IN BRIEF: Deputy minister in Scottish Executive launches new project

Hugh Henry, deputy minister for social justice in the Scottish Executive, launched a new project on Monday to provide volunteering opportunities for house-bound people in the Scottish Borders. The Executive is giving £165,000 to the Encompass Project, a collaboration between WRVS, Age Concern and Dark Horse Venture, over the next four years.
