Classic Tours, the charity challenge organiser, is offering new international marathon packages for charities. Prices start at £310 per person, with a suggested sponsorship level of £1,100.

Whitewater, the direct marketing company for non-profit causes, is to research the giving habits of the baby-boomer generation. It will run 36 focus groups, divided by charity sub-sector.

The Fostering Network has been awarded a grant of £863,659 from the Big Lottery Fund to support the Leading Our Lives project. The programme will help young people with experience of being fostered to influence the development of fostering services.

The Royal Bank of Scotland has awarded £100,000 to Unique, a charity that offers support to families of children with chromosome disorders. RBS teamed up with the Daily Mail last month to ask the public to choose the charities that should win the Make It Happen Awards. Ninety other charities received £10,000 donations.
