Nick nack paddy whack, adopt a dog by phone

Animal lovers can adopt dogs using their mobile phone with Dogmob, a new fundraising initiative from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

The charity has launched a series of mobile phone downloads to raise money. For a one-off payment of £3, customers can adopt a dog and download doggy wallpaper, a doggy screensaver and a doggy ringtone from www.dogmob.co.uk.

All profits – at least £1 from each download – will go directly to the charity to help look after dogs and cats.

“Dogmob is a new and highly innovative way to allow dog lovers to support our work and to have wonderful, cute, colourful content on their mobile phones,” said Fiona Healey-Hutchinson, director of fundraising at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

“Britain is a country of dog lovers, which is reflected in the huge popularity of puppy and dog-related mobile content downloaded daily in the UK – Dogmob ensures that this trend for doggy mobile phone content benefits real dogs here at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.”
