Not on the scrap heap

Activist pensioners joined ex-Eastenders soap star Anna Wing, left, inside a rubbish skip in London last week. It also wants an equality commission set up to enforce legislation. A recent NOP survey showed that 51 per cent of the population believed older people were treated "as if they are on the scrap heap".
