Opinion: Focus on... A Curtain Call for Aid

The Royal Opera House is staging an evening event on Easter Sunday to raise funds for Save the Children's tsunami rehabilitation fund.

- Save the Children hopes to raise between £100,000 and £200,000 from tickets and programme sales

- The event includes a series of ballets, concerts and songs performed by world-class artists such as Antonio Pappano, Carlos Acosta and Darcey Bussell

- The first half of the programme will end with the finale of George Balanchine's Symphony in C

- Ticket price includes the cost of a seat and a suggested donation.

Staff will give their time and services free.
