Opinion: Focus on... NCVO Trustee Conference

An NCVO report of last year said that many chief executives think of the role of the chair as something of a problem. It added that part of the solution lies in better training for trustees, which is why its Trustee Conference was organised.

- The theme of the conference event is 'Winning Ways: Boards Making a Difference'

- It will provide 14 seminars, including one by Charity Commission chair Geraldine Peacock

- Other seminars will look at compliance issues related to the Data Protection Act, and decisions that trustees have to make on IT projects.
