Pacey takes helm at children's charity

The director of policy and campaigns at the Institute of Fundraising will join Early Education as chief executive

Megan Pacey, director of policy and campaigns at the Institute of Fundraising, has been appointed chief executive of children's charity Early Education.

Pacey, who has been at the institute for three years, will leave the organisation in February. She will take up her role at the charity in April.

Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the institute, said: "Megan has driven forward the work of the policy campaigns, standards and information functions of the institute with a rigour that has benefited and been felt across the sector."

Pacey's research on Gift Aid helped persuade the Treasury to offer charities transitional relief to make up for a drop in income tax.

She said: "I am excited to be leaving to use the skills, knowledge and relationships that I have gained to develop and grow Early Education."
