Voluntary sector staff are being urged to take part in the annual workplace satisfaction survey carried out by Third Sector with Birdsong Charity Consulting.

Charity Pulse, which is in its sixth year, asks sector staff about their workplaces, leaders and career prospects. Last year, more than 700 employees from about 150 charities took part.

Charities can use the results to benchmark their performance against others in the sector and thus see where they are doing well and where they need to improve.

The preliminary results from this year's survey indicate that morale is lower than in previous surveys. Half the participants so far say their pay has been frozen.

Respondents can choose to be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a coaching session with Birdsong, or complete the survey anonymously.

To take part in the survey, which takes about 10 minutes to complete, click here. The closing date for the survey is 13 April.
