A new research project is being launched in India to help philanthropists from the UK give money more effectively abroad.
Donor advice service New Philanthropy Capital is teaming up with Indian research consultancy Copal Partners to look into the needs and skills of Indian charities. The data collected will be similar to that on UK charities collated by NPC.
“We are delighted to be entering into this unique partnership with Copal,” said Martin Brookes, director of research at NPC. “It will offer donors an informed way of helping to tackle social problems in the country.
“We hope to provide a valuable tool that will meet the growing demand for advice on international giving.”
