Pensions Trust elects new board members

Two new board members have been elected to the board of the Pensions Trust, one of the biggest pension funds for the UK charity and social sector.

Catherine Howarth, a campaigner for Living Wage, and Kevin McNerney, a legal officer with the Royal College of Nursing, have both joined as member-nominated directors.

“The challenges facing trustee directors are as great as they have ever been,” said John Alleston, chair of the board. “Changes in legislation and the increasing complexity of investment strategies mean we need to make sure we are always ahead of the curve.

“These directors have displayed their commitment to delivering high quality pension provision to the charitable and not-for-profit sectors. I very much look forward to working with them.”
