Peters and M&S on board for prostate cancer campaign

Television presenter Andi Peters is to be the face of the Prostate Cancer Charity and Marks & Spencer's second joint campaign.

The charity and the retailer have teamed up for the second year running to raise awareness of the effects of prostate cancer on 35,000 men and their families every year.

Last year’s campaign raised £100,000. John Neate, chief executive of the Prostate Cancer Charity, is hoping to top that for 2008.

“This year the challenge for the partnership is to substantially increase that figure,” he said. “The money raised will be vital in assisting our aim of fighting prostate cancer on every front – through research, support, information and campaigning.”

The campaign will launch ahead of Prostate Cancer Awareness Week, which starts on 10 March. It will include a new range of products, available in-store and online. M&S will also be accepting donations in 500 stores nationwide and handing out 1.5 million leaflets to its customers and staff.
