PFRA freezes membership fees

Planned 4.5% increase 'not necessary', says face-to-face regulator

The Public Fundraising Regulatory Association is to freeze its membership fees for the coming year.

The self-regulatory body for face-to-face fundraising warned members earlier this year that fees might increase by about 4.5 per cent. But Mick Aldridge, chief executive, said there was no need to put them up.

"Our membership is growing, we have been very prudent this year and reserves are healthy, so we are able to give members this Christmas gift," he said.

Members currently pay £100 a year plus 75p per donor recruited through face-to-face fundraising.
