Phil Edge joins Brainwave as chief executive

Plus Glyn McIntosh, Stephanie Sturrock, Paul Newman, Grant Sugden and Kim Harper

- The children's charity Brainwave has promoted Phil Edge from head of therapy to chief executive. He took up the role on 1 December.

- Glyn McIntosh has been promoted to chief executive at the stop-smoking charity Quit. She was formerly director of development and communications.

Stephanie Sturrock, director of social investment, Charities Aid Foundation- The Charities Aid Foundation has appointed Stephanie Sturrock as director of social investment. She was previously chief executive at Seachange Community Trust, which supports community groups in North Yorkshire.

- The Benevolent, the charity for the drinks industry, has appointed Paul Newman as chief executive. He was previously acting managing director at the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Grant Sugden, director, Waverley Care- Grant Sugden has been appointed director of Waverley Care, the HIV and Hepatitis C charity. He was operational manager at the Scottish charity Circle.

- Kim Harper has joined the homelessness charity St Mungo's as policy, public affairs and research manager. She was formerly senior policy and research adviser at Catch22.
