Politics: The main man in Europe

Tony Blair attended his last Labour conference as party leader this week, and ActionAid has created a spoof album cover to mark the occasion.

As Blair enters the 'final countdown' of his premiership, the aid agency is reminding him that his commitment to make sure Aids drugs will be available to all those who need them by 2010 is 'on record'.

The Prime Minister made the pledge with other G8 leaders last year, but ActionAid fears that, without further funding, the target will go unmet.

"Not enough has been done to secure funding for this target, and time is running out," said Brendan O'Donnell, youth campaigns manager at ActionAid.

O'Donnell has appealed to both Blair and Chancellor Gordon Brown to champion the issue.
