Politics: Minister in the ring with wrestling hopefuls

Young wrestlers told Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Tessa Jowell about how they hope to reach the 2012 Olympics during a visit to the Manchester YMCA at the end of the parliamentary recess.

Jowell, who is pictured with Angela Sarkis, national secretary of YMCA England, and Graham Hobbs, chief executive of Manchester YMCA, was also given a break-dancing demonstration during her trip. Manchester YMCA is taking part in the YMCA Active England Project, a three-year project funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Sport England to encourage youngsters between the ages of 14 and 25 to do more exercise. The project also aims to help boost young people's confidence.
