Prizes will reward charity success

Third Sector is launching a set of awards to celebrate individual and team achievement at all levels in charities and voluntary organisations.

The Third Sector Excellence Awards include 14 categories recognising success in all the key charity disciplines, from fundraising and marketing to strategy and human resources. The awards, to be presented at a black-tie reception on 6 October at London's Park Plaza, will be judged by a panel of recognised independent experts.

The Third Sector Excellence Awards will build on the success of Third Sector's annual Britain's Most Admired Charities event, at which readers select the UK's most respected charities. "All too often charities are shy about their achievements," said Third Sector editor Stephen Cook. "I hope readers will be inspired to enter and achieve wider recognition for their work."

Entry packs will be included in next week's issue. For information about sponsorship and table bookings, contact Stacy Van den Broek on 020 8267 4668.
