Pro-lifers to 'out' abortion views

The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children plans to name parliamentary candidates who are in favour of abortion and euthanasia.

Members of the organisation plan to question candidates in their local constituencies on abortion, euthanasia and IVF, and then publicise their responses where they deem necessary.

A spokesman for the group said: "We will be putting out leaflets detailing the responses our members get from candidates. In some marginals, the pro-life vote will sway the final result."

The organisation's research shows that people in the north of England tend to be more anti-abortion than those in the south.

The spokesman added: "We plan to tell it like it is, because we feel that going over the top can undermine the message."
