Prophylactic poster from Brook

Young people's sexual health charity Brook has released its first-ever poster featuring a picture of a condom as part of a new campaign intended to persuade young people to use contraception.

The two adverts, which are currently appearing on billboards, show a condom next to a pregnancy testing kit and the teat of a baby’s bottle, together with the message “It’s your choice”.

The charity said the campaign’s posters were “thought-provoking and sensitive” and intended to “start conversations among adults and young people”.

Simon Blake, chief executive of Brook, said: “Some people won’t be comfortable with an outdoor poster that has such a frank tone and message as well as a huge condom on it.

“We cannot allow generation after generation to grow up without the information they need to manage and enjoy their sexual health.”
