Walking charity the Ramblers Association has rebranded to reflect a rise in membership of people under 40.

The new look includes a fresh logo and visual identity, which will be introduced from today (2 March) over the course of the year across the charity's website and promotional materials.

"We are shifting from being an organisation focused on a walking ‘elite' to one concerned with a broader spectrum of people," said Tom Franklin, chief executive of the association. "We wanted an image that reflects the breadth and scale of our work."

Franklin refused to reveal how much the rebrand cost the organisation, but said it was a small proportion of the charity's total expenditure.
