Real Fundraising, the face-to-face fundraising agency set up by managers from defunct agency Dialogue Direct, has signed contracts with four former Dialogue Direct clients and hired 37 fundraisers, almost all of whom worked for the old organisation.
Real Fundraising will be allowed to operate from eight sites in London each week. It has applied for access to a further 98 sites across the UK.
The new agency aims to raise £450,000 for charities in its first 12 months.
Earlier this month, eight former managers of Dialogue Direct, which went into voluntary liquidation in October, set up the new firm, which operates from the same address. Andreas Leitner, a former director of Dialogue Direct, has invested money in Real Fundraising and is a shareholder in the firm.
James Davis, managing director of Real Fundraising, said: "We have the same managers, but Real Fundraising is a new firm that has a new outlook.
"It's not about persuading old clients to come back," he said. "We have good contacts and they wanted to join our new company."
