41,345 charities on the Charity Commission register support people with disabilities

4,100 sponsor or undertake research; 5,309 act as umbrella or resource bodies; and 12,717 make grants to other organisations

4,903 provide support with accommodation or housing, including the Ronald McDonald House Charities UK and the Park Furnishers Charitable Foundation

15,807 have annual incomes of no more than £10,000, including Rural Community Responders, the Lord Clwyd Memorial Foundation and Homeshare International

330 have annual incomes of more than £10m, including the Salvation Army, the Thalidomide Trust and Hertsmere Leisure

3,072 are late in filing their most recent documents with the Charity Commission
