Risk is opportunity, says Charity Bank

Voluntary organisations should be less afraid of risk and see it as an opportunity, according to Charity Bank.

The message will be emphasised in a series of seminars on risk that the bank will give this autumn. The seminars will be led by Simon Thorrington, north-west England regional representative of the bank. "By identifying and managing potential issues, charities can turn risks into opportunities," he said. "If things go wrong, it's usually because of poor governance."

The seminars are in Edinburgh on 27 September, Exeter on 18 October, Oxford on 25 October, Bristol on 8 November and Leeds on 15 November.
