RNID hires Mathers to head individual giving department

Amanda Mathers has been appointed head of individual giving at the RNID.

Mathers replaces Tony Samuel, who is leaving the charity to join The Blue Cross as director of fundraising and marketing.

Like Samuel, Mathers joins the charity from an agency background. Before joining the RNID, she worked at the Domain Group, which has clients including Friends of the Elderly, Motor Neurone Disease Association and Parkinson Disease Society.

Reporting to Graham Kelly, deputy director of fundraising, Mathers is responsible for direct marketing activity to RNID supporters, including donor acquisition, committed giving and legacy marketing.

"Over the next year, I aim to work with my team to bring in new strategies to ensure that we're making the best out of every supporter relationship," said Mathers.
