RNID launches disability discrimination guide for charities

The RNID has produced a new guide to help charities communicate with hard of hearing people and meet their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act.

The booklet, Sound Solutions, features information about the services and equipment required to meet disability laws.

“We have produced Sound Solutions as an easy-to-follow guide for charities wanting to become accessible to deaf and hard of hearing service users and staff,” said Mark Catling, director of business development at RNID Products, an arm of the RNID that provides sensory products for deaf and hard of hearing people.

“The guide clearly lays out the support RNID Products can provide – advice, equipment, installation and maintenance – meaning help is at hand for the whole process.”
