RNID publishes annual report video in sign language

The RNID has designed a new way to publish its annual report online using video and sign language.

The charity's online report for 2007/8 allows users to scrutinise the charity's impact using a keyword search to find specific examples of what it has done in the past year.

The RNID hopes the new format will provide greater transparency and a more meaningful illustration of its work.

Brian Lamb, director of policy and advocacy at the charity, said: "A charity needs to be fully accountable to each and every stakeholder and demonstrate the impact it makes on people's lives."

The online report also includes 11 short films, with sign language and subtitles, of RNID service users talking about their experiences of the charity.
