Scottish bodies launch governance survey

Charities in Scotland are being invited to respond to a survey that will explore the relationship between the characteristics of boards and the effectiveness of organisations.

The governance research, launched by the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations and Cranfield University, has been designed to highlight good leadership and governance practices by exploring the characteristics of board members, chairs and chief executives in the sector.

The survey is funded by the Big Lottery Fund, the Scottish Government, Scottish regulator the OSCR and umbrella body the SCVO. The results will be compared with the findings of previous research by Cranfield University across all public services.

The survey runs until 28 September. The form can be downloaded here or requested from policy@acosvo.org.uk.
