The former London and south east regional director for Sport England takes over the top job at the ISRM on 1 December.

He replaces Ralph Riley, who is remaining at the national professional body as a contracted technical adviser. Holt's previous roles at Sport England include head of special projects and major events and regional director for London.

Holt said: "These are exciting times for the ISRM, with the formation of the Chartered Institute of Sport on the horizon. I intend to ensure that all our partners, stakeholders and members have a say in its development."
